About J.M. Pasquesi
Former Rome residents J. M. Pasquesi and her husband, actor David Pasquesi, have been visiting the Eternal City for some twenty years. Their sons, Giancarlo and Luca, have accompanied them for the last decade. While the family lived, worked and attended school in Rome, they visited and revisited those sights that hold unique appeal to children—often taking their guests on tour.
J.M. is a founding officer of Solo Roma Books and is a Rome expert that has been featured in USA Today, as a guest on international radio shows, and on TripAdvisor.com, the largest global travel information site on the web. She has been a contributing editor to three Northstar Travel Guides, including their Rome city guide, Italy country guide, and Chicago city guide. Her travel articles are on Internet sites such as Travel World International Magazine and SoGoNow.com.
J.M. is a travel writer with a background in Classical studies—and a mother to two adventurous boys. In Rome with Kids: An Insider's Guide, she shares her insider's know-how and passion for Rome to help you create a trip you and your children will treasure. She wrote it to answer a need. No other guidebook gives families a realistic approach to what they can (or should) see during a few precious vacation days. With its single-minded focus, the guide stands unique in its field, entirely researched and written by one person rather than an assemblage of various sources. J.M's intimacy with the city and her experience with entertaining kids when there is what gives her book a true insider's edge.
J.M. is a cum laude graduate of Loyola University, Chicago, majoring in English with a minor in Classical Civilizations.
